Can you guarantee a success for my startup? While we do anything above and beyond our capabilities to help you with the development of your startup, we cannot guarantee success for your business child. We can guarantee, however, an extensive and rigorous internal and external growth process that will make you a more refined and well-rounded leader and entrepreneur, and which will lead to some sort of change in your environment.
-
I live in a different country. Can I participate in your programs?Yes! All of our startup incubator programs are offered virtually and arranged via virtual video and educational platform tools. You can be on the beach in Los Angeles, at the rooftop in Rome, or in the backyard in Brisbane, and still be an integral part of our startup incubator.

I want to move to Spain. Can you help?According to the Ley De Emrendedores (2013), you can apply for the Spanish entrepreneurship visa with a business plan of a venture that intends to help the Spanish economy directly or indirectly. The original visa is one-year, but it can be extended for another two years with the development of the business. Although the process is complicated, we have witnessed a few successful cases. Although Startup Cielo doesn’t assist with the above-mentioned visas directly, we collaborate with selected few lawyers who can help with the process.
-
I'd like to mingle with my co-participants. Do you have designated physical locations? We are currently in a negotiating process with several multi-campus business schools and organizations across the globe, which would offer a space for Startup Cielo â„¢ participants. If you are interested in a specific city, please send us an email via the contact form on our website with the request.
-
Do you help with finding investors for startups? We believe in our participants and their startups wholeheartedly. Therefore, we do the best we can to introduce the executives and projects to potential investors worldwide. In case of success, we charge a 1% success fee, payable upon closing of the deal.
-
What are the requirements for Startup Cielo programs? All participants must be over 13 years of age (valid documentation is requested upon admission). For Startup Cielo for Intrapreneurs and Startup Cielo for Entrepreneurs programs, we request a presentation pitch deck and a 2-min video to be considered. For Startup Cielo for Tech Students, we request a cover letter, a CV, and a tech project portfolio (if available) to assess your skills and whether they fit with our current projects.
-
How do you consider the participants for the programs? All of our incubator programs, except for Startup Cielo for Tech Students, are idea-based. A startup applicant can have up to 3 founders in the team and apply as one participant. After the initial application is fully submitted with the required attachments, cohort participants are selected via randomized lottery.

Why are your programs so long? Most incubator programs only last between 6 to 5 months. Our academic research suggests that the startup develops similar to a child, thus it needs an appropriate period to grow properly under supervision. A newborn cannot be fully autonomous and functional within 6 weeks to 5 months, neither can the first-time parents become pros during such a short period. A one-year program allows you and your startup, like a parent-child duo, to learn how to breathe, walk, nourish, and communicate in a healthy way.
